Not wishing to display my ignorance, but whatever, where is Blue Range?

In the meantime, I plane to do some exploring around Nerigundah looking for an easy, 'big bike' link from Belowra to Sugarloaf. Anyone want to tag along, pick a day to suit you, and I can probably fit in.

There is a lot but the killjoys have tried to block some of the best/steepest.

The firebreak separating the pines from the gums on the western edge, the firebreak along the top of the range down to the south into Condor Creek or down the big firebreak and to the north into the firebreak along the northern edge all have a high jolly quotient.

The firebreak off Brindabella Road at the southern end of the pines down to the causeway at the bottom of Coree and all the little crossings of Condor Creek have also come in for killjoy attention.

Just sticking to the edge of the pines west of Brindabella Road will lead you to most of the steepest ones.

The firebreak that starts on the hairpin about half way up the southern road leading up to Two Sticks used to be a great challenge in winter because it's on the shady side of Coree and underneath the loose rocks was black mulch. But in third gear on a big thumper it was an absolute delight if you didn't get thrown off line and have to downshift.

PM me if you need more specifics.

Like to get back up in there again, haven't been along those tracks since the seventies,
Have to make sure 'Kenny' has the right gear on board though,
Cheers

If a couple of riders with knowledge of the single track in the area would like to organise a ride I would like to join

If you do happen to form a posse for a ride do it mid week. ACT 4wders will try and kill you on weekends and holidays. No Regard for safety or other road users. Nearly been cleaned up a couple of times by P Plater legends from the ACT in 4wds.
I blame John Howard, he took my rifles away so I can't fix the problem.

Think ACT Drivers but in out of control tanks instead of cars.

Scary thought, even worse when you get fronted by some idiot with no regard for other road [track] users,
know there's plenty of good 4wd drivers out there, and lots of ADVers amongst them, but having experienced what 'fati is talking about is not nice
Cheers

We've got it comparatively easy tomorrow ...

39 in Sydney and 36 in Batemans Bay ...

Both with high winds ...

Must be October records, surely ...

Flakney Creek Rd?, comes out @ 'Broadway' T intersection?, haven't been through there since '11, when we went that way to DR Muster @ Tuena, so no idea on current condition
Full of tight right-angled corners, narrow with plenty of furry friends & startled cowcockies driving along there, who them fellas?????
No gates if that's what you were wondering, just a back road/Stock Route, when ya heading through?
Cheers

Flacknell Ck is fine all the way through - major dirt road now.

So is Dawes Rd, which comes off it to the right.

Where are you headed?
