Well as a matter of fact, there's a little get together on 3-4 Dec @ Micalong Creek [near Wee Jasper],
'Bards of the Bush', for those of us that enjoy poetry / yarns / songwriting? / bullshit, etc.
Could find yourself some dirt getting there, ie. Doctors Flat Rd. or up through Picadilly Circus & down Nottingham Rd., possibilities are endless!!!!!!
Cheers

Attached is actually a Google Earth kmz file, so after downloading, change the extension to kmz. Cotter to WeeJasper and return last Sunday. Should be up for it after Sunday coming.

Hopefully I haven't broken any rules doing this?

If you use GPSBabel or similar you can convert this to suit your GPS. Or maybe just export, depends.

Sounds good, another option is that place we went a few years ago in Curtin.

For a couple of days now. Somebody should call it soon.

I'll put my two cents in I'm for anywhere in town (don't worry HGG you can travel in with us if you want a drink too) on Sunday the 27th of November starting at 1730.

OK folks call the place...

Although I would prefer a Northside location for ease of transport.

I only appear to be slow, it's actually my wireless router in it's death throes making online life miserable, so I'm stuck with actual reality for now. It's taken 2 days to get on the web, and I'm buying a new wireless jobbie tomorrow.

Bombala Bike Show

Hi,
My first post, only been lurking for a month or so and getting pretty keen to take my small bore out for a decent run.

One of my mates invited me to this but is riding on the road.

Anyone heading to Bombala to have a look and heading down via dirt roads or have a route I could follow?

May stay overnight but would more than likely come home late arvo.

Thanks,

Alex

Penis size doesn't matter. No, really.

See below. Really, penis size doesn't matter, so stop going on about it.
From sunny canberra, the easiest to follow dirt is through Namadgi, then just past Shannons Flat bear left to Cooma (mostly sealed now, but nice).
From cooma, as you head out of town towards Nimmitablel, turn right just before the brdge and take backroads to Nimitabel. Check on google maps for the roads, I can't remember the name of every bloody trail you know. Stop at the bakery for a pie with peas, your penis will enlarge. Follow the road out of Nimmitable and the old bombala road is on your right, mostly dirt, and some nice scenic ruins of something or other large. It meets up with the tar road to Bombala.

Or, if you have all day, turn left going into Williamsdale, follow to the end, turn right, follow till nearly michelago (if you hit the village you went too far ) turn left over the grid onto Tinderry road, follow to the end, and turn right onto Jerangle road, follow past Anembo, then turn left just through Jerangle onto Peak View Road, turn left onto Polly's Gully Road (a few gates along here), then turn right at the end, around 12 k of tar (very roughly) turn left onto Tuross road at Countegany, then follow till it joins Kybeyan road (bear left), then follow to Nimmitabel, basically.

That will wipe out 4 or 5 hours easy, but a nice ride. It also gets some altitude, so if the weather is iffy take some warm stuff for up on the range.

Hope this helps. Don't worry about the penis size either.
