Anyone ever try a short lever for the foot brake

When I tried to straighten out the bend it snapped. Had a friend suggest this . I now have about four hundred miles on it and growing while waiting on the billet lever to get here.

I got the Clean Speed Eng lever and it looks like it will work well. I also ordered the Touratech extended brake pedal tip after I missed the rear brake on some nasty downhills @ Hatfield/McCoy last week.

Cheers,

Do you find it easier to use the rear brake with that twist?

Thanks man, actually I nearly went over a bank due to a slight lack of feel on the first corner after the crash

I was wondering the same thing. I was about to order some Warn auxillary lights but I like the looks of those. What are they and how are they mounted?

Check out sanjoh's lights on the vendors forum.
Best deal for the most light, 3600 lumins.
I've had and installed a few with good results.

I POSTED THIS IN THE DAY TRIPPIN' SECTION, BUT I THOUGHT IT MIGHT FIT BETTER HERE.

Earlier this week, I picked up a 2013 KTM 690 Enduro R. It is awesome! I've wanted one for at least a couple of years, and I finally decided to sell my Yamaha WR250R and pull the trigger on the 690. I was able to take a couple very quick 5-6 mile rides prior to today, but this afternoon I finally got some extended seat time. I traveled 75 miles southwest to Montoursville, PA to pick up an order from a place called EuroOptic. In total, I logged about 170 miles today.

It was a gorgeous ride. I took the long way home and explored some PA state forest roads in NE Lycoming Co. Most of the trails were pretty tame and allowed for some high speed fun. I am absolutely blown away with the performance of this bike; it flat out encourages bad behavior. I noticed that I was well over 80 MPH in the blink of an eye on several sections of road/trail today. I also had a hard time keeping the front tire on the ground. Most of the trails were well maintained, but there were also some pretty rutted up muddy sections. These weren’t as fun as I was stuck in first or second gear, but the KTM had zero issues navigating everything we came across. I felt much lighter to me than its 306 pounds.

I love reading ADV ride reports; mine was just a day trip, but I figured I post some pic’s and share my mini-adventure with you guys.

This is why 1/2 of South Africa moved to Oz...

We had a bit of rain in the Kalahari just before winter started. The desert looks awesome this year.
