We got out for a Memorial Day ride. Here's my Ginger
She's kind of a showoff.

My son on my old bike 525exc

Some of the cool rock formations we went thru.

My instrument package. Please no crap comments on how I use my SPOT.

This is a D606 on the front of a KLR we met on the way back.
You think he gets his moneys worth out of his tires??

For me I need the center stand and a winch because I ride by myself. (Bunch of pussies around here love their 4 wheelers. I guess because you can ride one with a beer, shorts and barefooted.)

Anyway, the center stand makes everything from maintenance, tire changes tight turn arounds both left and right and fork removal etc a snap solo. It also makes mud removal very nice if you remember to carry some sort of base plate with ya. My rear tire is 5/8th of an inch off the ground which seems okay and if you need it higher you could always weld a thicker foot plate on it.

If you always ride in a group and let the dealership maintain your bike the money could probably be used else where but I love mine and just got done jumping my 690 yesterday and never even knew it was there.

[QUOTE=palmstatecrawler; To each their own but if there is a centerstand for any of my bikes past, present or future I buy it. It just makes life easy and its nice to have a stable seat I can sit on wherever my bike is parked next to a cooler. [/QUOTE]

Now it all makes perfect sense to have a center stand on THIS enduro.
Especially If you are way out there, and need to change a tire, or do some other repair.
I had a centre stand and abandoned it as it was a PITA over jumps and rough / fast trails ...

Those little trail stands / Anderson stands work well, as do logs and rocks ...

Workin on a new, more functional look. Putting on some real handguards and some leds. Already have a piaa super bright white h4 bulb so figured I'd get some matching auxillary lights.

Mud, stuck?

I literally fell into a hole whilst riding across the Pesaquid lake shore. It took me 20m to pull it out!

Everyone loves photos of bikes stuck in mud!

Looking good!

How do you like riding with the windscreen?
I'm considering that one for my Ginger. On road sections my helmet is really pushing up hard.

I got that screen and it's mostly very good but it seems to direct flies into my eyes so I got the touratech screen spoiler for the BMW F800 after seeing SportsGuy (post no.1577) on here using one. Works pretty well in combination but sometimes the air gets a bit noisy. Height may have something to do with it - I'm 5'10".
