I am interested in hearing what the difference is from your standpoint. Since you don't use the snorkel it should be easily noticeable.

Went on a 360 mile shakedown ride with my new ADV Platform and never saw a gas station or another Human for that matter.

Touratech Centennial Rally for 2013

Just managed to complete the The Touratech Centennial Rally for 2013 - a three day forest-based rally starting in Carlisle. Whacked on some Maxxis MaxEnduros and was ready to go. Day 1 about 120 miles, Day 2 240 miles and Day 3 130 miles. Can't say I was the quickest around the course - but completed it which was objective. Booked in for Cambrian Rally now.

More info on event here:

livin' the dream!

Good for you Cotswold Ben! The bike looks great and you are out there going for it. Quite enviable- something to aspire to. My compliments.

Is that your singletrack? It looks like a freeway compared to up here.

I did the Cambrian last year on a 400 EXC but am back this year on a 690, definitely the right bike for this event

I don't know about you but that long and narrow of a trail with that much off-camber has to be a bit adrenalin inducing at speed.

Some areas are better than others.

Those are both great shots of incredibly smooth single track. I am just jealous. If either of those pictures were taken up in the PNW, there would be about 30 tree roots and 25 rocks visible in each shot. And... that is just in the middle of the trail, the fall zones are much, much worse.

I'm gonna have to get myself down to CO. to ride some bikes.

I'll have to post up a couple pics once my bearing gets in.
