I think it's fabulous, but then, I love Cafe Racers anyway and always have. That bike is sweet!

Look show short the stroke in the front forks is.
Yeah, The forks are from a Duke and they've been lowered quite a bit. Notice how the 690 radiator rotated 90 degrees?

Here's more (a lot more) info on the Roland Sands 690:

http://www.rolandsands.com/wp/2013/0...d-690-cafemoto

Apparently there is a street "flat tracker" in the works also. Roland does very innovative and "finished" work. He has a marvelous sense of design.

Yeah. He has been my favorite builder for a long time. While most builders only have "form" and no function.. His bikes can actually kick butt. He used to race AMA road bikes and that shows in his designs.

Start of the flat tracker

I noticed the radiator and thought it looked cool but, didn't catch that it was the OEM rotated. That is slick. Wouldn't he have to relocate the cap to make it work properly?

Edit: Found a close up of the radiator.

That thing is choice, no doubt about it. Wonder who owns it now...? Cool choice for the basis of a bike for a street bike for sure...

The only thing that I don't like.. is the amount of fuel. The way the tank is, it probably only holds 1 gallon or so. Don't ever ride past a gas station!

Nice! KTM OEM wheels? Looks like you kept the brakes standard Enduro 300 mm?

First dirt for my new 2013 this last weekend

Awesome backcountry Adventure bike I'd have no trouble running single-trail with it.
