lowers the bike enough that the original kickstand still works but....the bike is almost vertical.....

Kept the stock brakes....more than enough unless you are on a cart track....slide forward, grab brake...voila stoppie...

The wheels are the complete kit from ktmtwins...

rotors, carrier, choice of rear sprocket etc....one stop shopping

Mines been on the OBCDR, WaBCDR, UtBCDR, parts of the T-1 and T-2 in Idaho, part of the TAT and some "discovery" routes of my making. To date it has performed flawlessly and I now have 15000+ miles on it.

PalmState: I'm now running the 1 and 5/8" Kouba with my centerstand. Had a little more than 1" cut off each leg and also dropped the forks a total on 1" to level the bike. Whole setup seems to work well, with the rear wheel about 3/4" to 1" off the ground when on the centerstand. Don't know if that is enough or not, but I think it will be. No trouble getting it up on the stand even for an old dog like me. BTW, if you're not busy and the weather cooperates, our annual fly-in at the Ridgeland Airport down south of you is coming up this weekend (5 October). Check out www.racetoridgeland.com for details. Drop down and bring your 690; I'll be sure to have mine there too. We can compare notes and the fly-in will be a lot of fun too. Some of the guys in the S.C. riders club say they are going to try to come too.

Here's a couple of pictures of the results for anyone who is contemplating this mod.

Very nice, wish I could put that much ride time in. Soon you will have the official IDBDR to run, don't know if T-1, -2 cover some of that. Are you running a Coyote on there?

That's 3 years of summer vacations and long weekends.
I enjoyed the ride back through southern Idaho on the way home from riding the UtBCDR. We went from Pocotello to McDermitt, NV. Lots of long open vistas.

Yes that's a coyote. Excellent luggage. Mines gone many miles on the 690 and a few thousand before that.
