I'll tell ya who's in-
about every modern firearm hunter from Bellingham to Mukilteo, that's who.
Modern season is only 2 weeks long. You may want to reconsider.
If you go, WEAR ORANGE
Hunter orange, not KTM orange, tho they are not too far apart.
And I will be out with all the rest of the bambi slayers, but a couple ridges over.

If you do decide to wait, I'll go. I'm booked this weekend.

I'd go too, but not during hunting season. Too many frustrated people with high powered rifles. Kinda rude to the hunters too, IMO.

Really, you think so? I never much believed in road hunting.

Old story. I bought a truck in Alaska and there was a rattle in the dash. I found a 30.06 shell casing in the heater/defrost ducting. When I told this to the guy who sold it to me he remarked it must have been from when he went hunting. He would drive around until he spotted his prey and then would sight out the driver side window.

Yeah, I'm no road hunter either, but ya see a lot of them around here. I had a guy swearing at me last year, just for driving around in my Jeep with my kids, on a logging road. I wasn't doing anything wrong, but he got bent out of shape. I don't trust somebody like that to stay rational if they think they can get away with it.

Regarding being rude, that's not for the road hunters, and probably not a big deal regardless. When I hunt though, I'm looking for peace and quiet as part of the experience, and a bunch of guys ripping down the road a few hundred yards away can spook potential targets, few as they are around here.

Anyway, back to the topic, I'd love to go ride Rat Trap pass another weekend.

yeah, I guess I'll go hunting instead.... I was going to hunt during next week when there's not so many people around and ride tomorrow, but maybe hunting would be better....

I was up off Finney Creek Rd on the KLR a couple of years ago parked on the logging road taking a few pics when some bear hunter dude in camo (I could hardly see him ) came up the hill through the brush. If looks could kill I would have been dead. We're talking 3:00 in the afternoon. I asked him if I could take his picture.
The Capt & I were going to go over to Devil's Backbone but decided to not tempt fate. That's a pretty popular area to hunt from what I hear.

Waiting for the Mad Lake report. That's a long way for some hunter to hike in and there's better places available for horseback. No quads!
