From what I understand they ride Mountain bikes there and I would be spotted from the chairlift for sure.

The Question is where is the duc now

I believe edfetz did not offer the help until after this weekend. I could be wrong, but either way PM'ing someone for directions, coordinates or help is cheating to me. Thats why I will always post for more info...not only to help me but others too.

I understand why edfetz does not want to post the route. That is fine & it may be that it is perfectly legal to get there.... I don't know.
I'm sure the carving is probably a very popular area on the weekends though & that would have been my only time

I'm all for promoting games, events & such, but maybe there could have been a more legal area near Hunter Mtn. for the tag. Again, I don't know I have never been there.
It's one thing to go in & know where your going & get out! But not being sure & possibly breaking the law is usually not good. For me anyway

Anyway I'm sure someone from Nick the Barber's ride will be the first up there on Friday & we'll have to see where the duck goes from there.

It's a GREAT Tag & it's something I've wanted to check out.
I will this weekend either by bike or hike

Hope to see y'all

Sir! Your post seems like it might be very close to a whine....This will not be tolerated in this thread !!!!!!!!!! If Ed's tag was questionable he would have been verbally assaulted by all the tag holders of this Ductor.....Oh wait he is the only tag holder

OK in all seriousness I believe Ed would have been more than happy to get anyone up the mountain. Since I knew I would not be able to grab this tag for quite sometime I desk tagged it and Ed was more than gracious to confirm my tag (location) and asked if I needed assistance. Im sure he would have been more than happy to offer anyone else the same assistance... well anyone with manners at least.... Personally I think ed's tag is one of the most creative I have seen. Imagine the advertisement we will get when an ADV'r proudly claims his or her Duc and explains what it is all about This is a game and that's all that it is. Some people take it much too serious and want to set all kinds of rules, schedules and bullshit . Catskill has given the best set of rules I have ever seen. With her set of rules this stays a game. When you start taking this too serious it becomes just that...Too serious. Keep the Duc within a certain area so that we all get to play with it other than that... Too Serious!!!!

You guys can PM me and Ill tell you now. I haven't gotten one PM yet about it. The reason Im not just posting it is some things shouldn't be broadcast across the net.

Yes, this tag is in a semi legal spot we've established that. But its a really cool spot with a great view. I could have put it in the parking lot at Hunter. Would one of you guys complaining have got it by now if it was? I grabbed the last few in the Hunter area and didn't seem to have any competition. There are all kinds of pavement tag games to play. I thought these dirt games where suppose to be a bit edgey?

Im just sayin' not trying to cause an argument or more drama, Lord knows there was enough of that in the OTHER thread.. If no one gets it this weekend Ill move it some where easier.

This my fellow taggers is what this TOR is about. The fact we may have to wait till Saturday is irrelevant because it appears the wait will be worth it. I wish I was able to go get it myself and I will actually be a little jeaoulus of the Bastard / Bastardette that does manage to grab it. I encourage taggers to find an out of the ordinary area as long as it is legal. Legal meaning public access or they can "arrange" to get you in. By arrange I mean knowing the landowner and getting you permission either escorted or not. Having to wait a few days or for certain hours is acceptable as long as the tag is worth it. Well how do we determine that??? Well if its not Im sure there will be an uprising and the offender will be given a blanket party.....Again on a serious note...

PLEASE DO NOT PUT A TAG ANYWHERE THAT MAY RESULT IN A TAGGER GETTING ARRESTED / TICKETED. IF CERTAIN ARRANGEMENTS NEED TO BE MADE ADVISE THE PLAYERS!!!!!

I would also further like to encourage group tagging or meeting somewhere with other players in the area....This is not a competition, make a day out of it, meet new people and make new friends. Take a deep breath and slow down. Enjoy the day...Enjoy the ride! That's what it's all about..

Enough harping on this. Somebody go get the damn Duc

I've often desk tagged (as kenny put it) and then emailed Ed and tagger or two in different games, about tag locations, to confirm the location was correct. I do not expect the gps location to be posted each and every time on the forum. Ed has always been a gentleman about offering to chauffeur me out there. He and other tag setters have offered to take people or help taggers get to different tags, not just this one.

I think it was pretty cool of him to put it in such a cool spot and to take the thought and time out to plan it in this way.

Even if the tag spot is semi/illegal, this tag REALLY is an exception as THIS WEEKEND, WE ARE ALLOWED (FOR FREE) TO RIDE On THIS ARGUABLY SEMI/LEGAL TERRITORY....

I only wish that I were a more advanced rider so I could join the barber ride and pick it up this weekend.

Cool... I was wondering if anyone got it. I heard you were up there at the summit. Did you get past the construction on the bike? There was an open ditch for wiring when I was there.

I'm thinking something more along the lines of this

It's the Pinochio Duck it would be a constant reminder of the integrity of some others......

Duck season also begins October 6th I might just go hunting instead...
