Stock shield...will show these boxes right through....whereas my fairing hides`em..... Second.... I`m not sure the top ballast will fit when using the stock cluster mount plate...... My cluster mount plate is raised to bring the speedo up and a little to the right.... But from what I recall.... I don`t thing there would be room on a stock setup...... Time to measure.....Let me see if I can get the dimensions on the ballast..... Erling |

So after diving in and giving the CF bracket a makeover..... I though I`d post a few pictures of the ballast and transformer mounting......
Old bracket...... ![]() New Bracket, which is contoured much better to the headlight housing....... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The rubber washer on the two side headlight mounts, were mounted between the polymer composite frame....and the CF bracket. That yielded best results in controlling the vibrations. It is very tight in there, but will work great with a little finesse..... Erling ebrabaek screwed with this post 05-19-2011 at 08:59 AM |

I have just fitted HID's , I mounted the ballasts on top of the rad shroud , my ballasts had little tangs on the end so I made small holes in the rad shroud and poked the tang thru , currently secured by a trusty plastic tie loop , but eventually will place a small washer over em , and secure with a bolt , the other end , I cable tied to the plastic brkt above the rad shroud

It went well other than having to drill a couple of extra holes.
I didn't have things lined up right the first time. ![]() No pics yet, I will when I finalize it. Right now I have zip ties holding the ballast and igniter in place to,make sure everything is good.

I went with the DDM HIDs. Tucked the ballasts & ignightors in the side fairings with sticky backed strong Velcro.
Only complaint is the cut out on the low beam is not in the right spot now. Have to play with the alignment of the light a bit and see if I can fix it. |

1offmotorsports failed HID kit
Hi Guys,
Please your help. I bought a HID Kit for low and high beam from 1offmotorsports, unfourtunely they have problems with the canbus ballast supplier and my kit is defective. 1offmotorsports stops selling the kits for BMW canbus (you can see on their webpage) and offer me a refound, because they donīt have solve the problem yet. Very bad for me, because I really want to have HID. Question: Can anybody tell me wich other kit is available, well build and tested by you... and can be buy from internet??? Thanks in advance. Jorge. |

I have a kit from Future Vision HID installed in both our F658's - works perfectly.
Bruno is an inmate and has a thread in vendors with an ADV discount. Great service and the product has never let me down.

You are the first one I have heard of with issues with the 1offmotorsports hid. Maybe something happened in their production.... But I have had no issues with mine. What is your bike doing wrong????? Will 1off not just exchange the kit........???? What are they saying that's wrong?????
