That's good to hear. For the past few years I've been getting that last Monday (Columbus Day) ride in before they close it for the season.

Monday's weather looks to be perfect, and the trails are open. I'll definitely be there.

My son and I rode 29 miles at TD today. Trails are in good shape, not as much mud as I thought would be there. A little on the river side trails, hardly none on the high side. The lower MX area at the base of the dam has some mud also, but you can still ride all the trails.

Thanks for the update, tomorrow should be fun as I'm breaking in a "new guy" to off road.

I'm shooting for 11:30am-12:00pm but hopefully a little earlier. Yes, bringing the KLX this time. I'll bring you that foot peg holder just in case you decide to join us.

Steve, thanks for putting together a great ride, really enjoyed it.

Especially thanks for helping me recover my bike from it's almost swim.

Hope you'll post some pictures.

Perfect day

The weather was great, the company even better. Trail conditions were very good, a nice mix of stuff to play around in for an afternoon. Today was about the most fun I've ever had at Thomaston, I'm glad they re-opened it after the flooding last week.

I didnt get too many pics, but here's what I got....

Jesse (wiseblood) with a PW50, I mean WR250 under him.

Jesse getting familiar with the bike in the lower MX area.

Jesse, followed by Steve (speedo66) and John (drklr)....

Somebody looks like they're having fun...

Nice helmet hair dude.

After John and Steve split, Claudio (nobody) showed up. I abandoned Jesse and told him to find his own way back. J/K, he told me he was going to take a slow ride back to the parking area, and Claudio & I continued to have fun. I actually discovered some trails (on the river side) I had never been on before, either because they were previously closed, or I never looked hard enough.

Here's Claudio going up a steep rock hill behind the lower MX area....

It was a fun way to finish off the riding at Thomaston for the season. Thanks guys for joining me, looking forward to more riding soon.

PS, thanks Claudio, for dinner.

The MX area is really small, it doesnt have any jumps or anything, but it's known as the MX area. It's just sorta an oval with smallish berms.

Here's a pic from above the MX area from a few years ago...

Some trail pics from last year here, and some from a few years back, here (beginning and end of that album).
