2 days central Wairarapa NZ

Marty and Jim saddled up early Saturday morn and headed south from Napier to my neck of the woods...in the Wairarapa..

Marty ktm 690
Jim ktm 950 adventure
Joe ktm 950 adventure

i meet up with the lads just north of my town.Masterton.

showed the lads where i planed to drag them and show our sights....
our first leg was over castle hill road, (gravel roads) to tinui valley and up to the old pack spur road..

marty over shot the turn off so we waited for him to come back.....

up and over the pack spur we then ended up at matakoina beach, ( east coast )

great sunny day...

after a drink and a chat..we headed for castle point. for bite of lunch..

this is one of the best sunny days we have had for a very long time...we just rolling in to summer over here in NZ
we rode down the beach and then rode through homewood forest up to the mt Richard lookout and back home for a BBQ..

Sunday
this morn we planed to ride down to southern wairarapa ocean beach. then ride the pylon access track on the Rimutaka forest range.

packing up ready to roll...

called in and Micheal joined us on his ktm 950
down the beach we decided to see how far we could ride up an old river bed...

we didnt do to bad for our selves...

a little further round the beach track, marty decided it would be a good idea to ride around the beach and try climb up a lose metal hill....

OH MARTY.........

Its just a great place to go riding,

the boys..

riding back out stopped in for a much needed coffee at featherston.

back on the road we headed for the pylon access track, its quite a steep climb up but great views up there.this photo is about half way up.

thats the main hiway on the other side of the hills.. interesting view of it from up here..

well hope you in joyed our travels..
till next time

Enjoyed the pictures

We went to NZ about 4 years ago but did not ride a bike while there. Beautiful country and have talked about returning some day for a motorcycle trip.
