I'm pretty familiar with the benefits of mass when it comes to smokers. My previous smokers include regular metal box type and I've been using big green eggs for the last 8 years.

The tanks are fairly thin walled, but they are double-wall with some sort of small insulation pellets in-between. I dont know if they're designed to handle heat or not, so i will probably try and get them all out and replace them with perlite. Hopefully this will be an efficient and light weight alternative to building a smoker out of plate steel.

hell, it's an experiment...if it works, great...if not, it'll make a nice sound when hit with .45ACP
