Your tracks are not time coded again, otherwise I'd bug you to upload all your photos. If you want to, make a log in and I'll set you up to upload your photos even though you'll have to pin them to the map one at a time.

IIRC, the HHR and the PT Cruiser were designed by the same fella. I'd have to look it up though and I'm too lazy for that.

Great ride. I've gone down warloop on my lebbenfiddy GS. Monda workout.

Very cool report!

Some of us from the Central TX/Houston area are headed up that way in late September. After reading the report, I am starting to get a woody.

How did the tires work for the F800 on those roads? I should be getting a set for my 12 tomorrow!

Thanks again for the report and pix.

Tires worked great! I like the K60 on the rear and a knobbie such as the Metzler Karoo T or TKC on the front. The K60 does square off a bit if you do a lot of highway riding.

While the K60 is a good tire, it only gets a few more miles than the knobbier Karoo T rears... and it is super stiff! It would be an epic battle to fix a flat with a K60 compared to the Karoo or TKC. For this reason I may go back to running Metzlers instead...

It was marked by a relatively clean looking piece of tape so me thinks someone has been down there recently!

This looks very much like what I call "Indian Creek Trail", and I was very sad to see the AR Fish & Game closure signs. That dept has gotten very active in the area closing off trails that have significant creek crossings. Probably some endangered salamander or something.

Before the closure, I have tracks from various trips that include parts of this trail. One of them comes down from the top (North where I think your photo is) and dead ends--I don't recall why I dead-ended. The other track I have comes up from the South, and I remember it being very remote and rugged with significant creek crossings. I do remember that afternoon--I turned around because it was almost dark and we had to get out of the forest--could not risk the several miles of unknown--we had already come to a couple of dead-ends down there. The Ozark Highlands Trail runs through that valley, too. I was really looking forward to another trip with plans to explore Indian Creek and connect those 2 sections of trail....but then the closure signs. Really sad.
