Yep, that's the plan. I'll be on Matt's R1200 GSA, so the gnarlier the better.

I left a fellow Marine LtCol at the house guarding the bikes this time around.. so you have to make it past him before you can make off with the bikes... and he is a Grunt not a wimpy logistician like me.

Good ride today even if we had to supply our own bikes. Thanks Alcontrast and Turtledub for coming out and riding on a hot and humid day.

nice ride. I'm still sweating a little...

Tefft Hill Trail exists and is an easy wide open dual track, at least East of 95.. There's also a longer section on the west side of 95 but it's a dead end that I haven't checked out.. It must have been an old road/trail from back before 95 was built and fell into dis-use after being cut in half by the highway.. West side may be more of a hiking trail now..

Nap is over...time to go to bed. just kidding...pretty much. Heat didn't bother me as much as I expected. But I did go thru all of my water. I'd have to say not big bike friendly and no drops. Thanks Rhode trip. And Al, I could hear your bike GROWLING at me from behind, so that's why I LET you pass to GROWL at the other T-dub.

my DRZ is too loud but it runs great so I hate to mess with it! At one point I was riding behind both of you guys in close proximity and I couldn't hear either of your bikes 15 feet or less away... I could only hear my exhaust, but it took me a while to realize it since I couldn't hear my own thoughts either..

No riding this weekend for me and the wife, I loaned the wife's dr350 to my nephew, who is Home on leave from the Army. Going back for his third tour of duty.

Ahh to be young and invincible....well I gave 'em some basic gear and a girls bike, add no offroad riding experience on his part.

He really needed the downtime with his friends and had a blast up in New Hampshire at Rivers Edge Campground & ATV Park.

Joshua with Aunty's bike.....

That picture is from last weekend in VT where we attempted to ride PDR once again, made it pretty far this time but had to abandon the PDR route since the ones with GPS chose to stay close to camp while I headed North

hey MATPOC,
cheesebot and I were in VT last weekend, including parts of the southern portion of the PDR. We've yet to come across any riders on the route, having done it twice now. Woulda been funny running into you and Patrick.

Susan and I just did the lower half the weekend before. We followed the new 2012 tracks. Aside from the storms each night, we had a blast.

Ok, so basically, it sounds like we need to get a group together next year and head up, Rhody style. One of the locals gave me some day rides out of Townshend, and we did some riding in the Green Mountains National Forest, too. I found some great roads in Western MA after the stop at the gas station in Greenfield. I bet they're part of the Trans-MA...super fun on a fully loaded and not-yet-broken-in DRZ.

Lynn and I rode the trans-mass and the PDR only as far as Brattleboro about a month ago. I hope we can go back in September. A group ride some time would be a blast!
