Looks like I wont be getting up there until Saturday myself now.. unforseen circumstances.. still an outside chance I could go up Friday. The campground does have a few walk up campsites available. Friday is looking pretty rainy at this point also. I bought a 6 man tent that should show up today in the mail.. if it is doable I will bring that instead of my backpacking tent and we can squeeze a couple of folks into it.. I just dont know how big it is in packed form at this point.

No Problemo.
Mrs Trip and I were planning on a leisurely cruise to VT but not finding much available in the way of open campsites. We might opt for a motel or sleep in the woods depending on where we end up. Shakedown ride with our new panniers!

Wow, that's the exact setup I'm contemplating! I have a XR650L with the Cyclerack on back. I'm looking into Wolfman racks and expedition bags; been trying to find used racks here on ADV (to no avail), so may end up getting new. This is it so far....(you have to follow-up with a review on how you like them)!

Here is a review of the installation for the bags on a cycleracks rack I did on the TW200 forum. I can give you contact info for Tinman Tim if you are interested.

PS. just did the Wolfman Wastebasket Mod on these.

It sucks to turn people away, but I also don't want to piss off the campground staff on what's sure to be a hectic holiday weekend.

Illegal stealth camping is probably totally possible in the area, but you didn't hear that from me.
Just give them some of your special milk shots and they'll love you and let you do whatever you want! Peace and Love, Peace and Love!

That's right! You got the bike...how ya likin' it?

I'll try pulling together a burger & bull later in the summer for a meet & greet. If you go up camping in VT with WAP, mrt10x and the Trips, you'll have a GREAT time with good people (well, mrt10x can be iffy). If you want an easy dirt road route, PM me as I have a nice loop, starting in Townshend (5 miles south of Jamaica).

Burger & bull? You have my attention. It shouldn't be snowing and I dont expect I'll be on 2nd much longer, so making it shouldn't be a problem...

You guys ship your bikes to Jamaica just to ride? WOW! Must be expensive?

Weather very wet Friday Friday/ night maybe into 1/2 Saturday

Rhode trip I had similar bags once and needed extra support as things stretched they really began to rub as they flopped down supported mostly from the top.. I ended up with good straps and started them so they leaned away a little like wings and still with a bump they would flop down. If this is a shake down cruise bring a little rope to snug if needed.

Have fun all

The Wolfman bags are secured at 4 points to metal side racks, but thanks for the tip.

Does New England count as a foreign country? Sometimes it seems like one, a third world country at that!

I'm liking the bike so far, with a measly 250 miles on it . The seat sucks, badly, even worse than I'd read about. I've got a re-stuff kit and cover coming soon and it can't be soon enough.

I'm leaving all route matters up to mrt10x, it's his show and I'm happy to ride along.

Burgers and beer sound great. What place are you starting to think about? Im game for anywhere, even NY Systems Coney Dogs though that would be very far down my list. Keep me in the loop, OK?

Have you checked out your local Fastenal Store? It's just a big bolt, 22mm with a 1.5mm thread pitch.
