My OEM chain finally wore out today. It didn't break, but it was making a lot of noise and it's missing 2 rollers. Front sprocket is a little hooked, not bad. I was worried that I'd break down near Hartford today, it got me home though. 19,000 miles on that one.

You guys are not gonna believe this...I just had an email from Don about the Husky. It's fixed and ready to head northward. Sheesh.

I'd say "sure, no problem, but you personally deliver it to RI this time."

Hey Rhode Trip I found that same field, was wondering why they closed the road. Didn't want to go down to get myself in trouble with DEM finding out lol!

mrt10x was once a rider in this area..
he started this thread.. and led many rides..
where good times were had..
one story has to do with a section of the loop that is straight,
in an open field, where the sun shines...
I have never ridden this section. It seems hard for me to find...
I thought this may be it...

details of his exploits are learned around a campfire, while riding the loop, on a BBDOR ride, or divined by those with google fu..

Ha ha...actually googled it cause I am a geek and realized he was a member but figured it would be easier to ask why it was relevant. Makes sense now thank you for the wisdom. You should find this place 'cause on a sunny day it was truly awesome.

That field in the picture is in Arcadia. Austin Farm Rd is closed because they are replacing a bridge. I'm not sure that's a legal detour, but the gate is open at the dog training field, and its pretty cool riding through the long field of flowers.
The site of Mrt10x's demise is approaching Ekonk hill on the Pachaug loop as far as I am aware. Mrs Trip and I rode right by there last Sunday on our way to Moosup.

Hey Compufreek,
That's the Tengai, right? We met a couple of years ago riding on Hopkins Hill Rd. I was on my KLR. Plus, I think I rode by your house a few weeks ago, I'd swear I saw that bike out in the yard.

Yup that is the Tengai and you have probably road by it. We did run into each other a while back. Finally got a working rear shock for it so I am looking for riding partners since I can actually go offroad now. It is funny since Twisted Throttle opened around the corner there have been way more DS bikes down my road...that closed road over there is fun....perfect way to end my long crappy commute of being harassed for being a fat guy on a weird old bike lol.
