you'll need a few months latter than now for colo.
it can easily snow up till may/june and then again in sept.

Already got through the Rocky mountain pass in CO. A bit snowy and icy in spots, but not bad all things considered.

There are a couple closures on the Blue Ridge Parkway http://www.nps.gov/blri/planyourvisit/roadclosures.htm

If you can, try to hit Deals Gap (Tail of the Dragon). Western NC / Eastern TN have some great roads. There are some nice Motorcycle campgrounds off the Parkway also
