sure is a long way across the flat land

Steak in Kansas City

Blues club in St, Louis

Drop down to Lexington KY and check out the Corvette hall of fame.

Then either over to West by god thru Kentucky, or drop down to Nashville and spend the night at GraceLand... Thankya,ThankYouVeryMuch

Thanks again for the suggestions, especially to Wind-Venture, who largely shaped my route home.

I started out headed for some of the points suggested here and then after more than a couple issues with the bike, the adventure evolved into just getting it home.

I'll try to do a quick ride report soon. I first need to finish this one before I can start another one.

Thanks again for the great tips. I'll bounce back to this thread as soon as I get the RR started.

P.S. Here's how my trip home started, and it got worse from here.

Holy crap, Wind-venture, that is awesome gouge!

I'm doing Atlanta to Denver to San Diego throughout mid-November, and while I've already got some good Southern CO/UT sites in mind, you just added some great spots! Definitely hoping the weather will allow a Pike's Peak run while visiting the folks in Denver.

So far, though, I have a big gap between the Southern end of the Natchez Trace and New Mexico that I need to fill. Probably a run visiting my old stomping grounds around Lake Travis. Big Bend may be on the list, depending on how timing works out. If you've got any other suggestions handy for TX/NM, please say so and I'll start another thread and drop a link here - so as not to derail this one.

As a small token of my appreciation, I've decided to do a quick ride report here.

Thanks again.
