Mission complete!

Well, we just got home...thanks all for a great weekend! I will post some pictures tomorrow. The total for the weekend depending on who's odometer you look at was about 740 miles.

2 day circumnavigation of the Bay was the real objective this time. Next time, when it can take 3 or 4 days an entire light house tour would be possible.

Thanks for a great ride Lance. lookin fwd to more pix.

Thanks for a Great Weekend

Patty and I got home around 10:30 last night and this is the first chance I have had to say "Thanks for a Great Weekend".

We both enjoyed it very much and are looking forward to the next trip. We were especially glad to meet Dana, Bruce, Tom and the Waynes.

Lance thanks for all of your planning and coordination.

I think Lance has the official SMIB LH pics. He took a lot of photos in the short time I was with them. Bruce did also. It will probably take a little time to sort and edit.

Good things come to those who wait!

Thumb Picture Extravaganza!

Smugmug photos here:

http://blaster11.smugmug.com/Motorcy...house-tour-Oct

First, meet our photographers. Blaster the aspiring photographer positioned to make any "bug-sized" lighthouse H.U.G.E

Photographer Lance--taking cover from the incoming crossfire/hiding from his target..

The "Money shot" (I even caught the light illuminated!) I guess we didn't believe that guy when he told us it was about 1 mile hike from the parking lot. Really, how many folks know a mile? He did...

Turkey Point after Dusk

Drum Point--The Best Lighthouse for Kids/teens as they allow tours inside, have RC boats, wood carving, and have a full interactive museum including a touch pond with critters and even two live otters!

And what wrench doesn't admire BIG gear mechanisms:

The SMIBs acquired this boat to compliment the cannon artillery regiment from last month

Lance apparently likes his women with lots of makeup. Good thing he got that upgraded hotel suite!

This lighthouse is only open occasionally, but Lance sweet talked the guy for this photo:

It's more impressive from the other side

The makings of a GREAT photo, and ADV sticker, a Big Ass BMW and a neato lighthouse:

I'd call this one a channel marker (Ft Washington)...

But this fort was unexpected and nice

Lance was a Drawbridge virgin before this adventure--he'd never seen a drawbridge opening.

Anyhow, during the wait he gave his steed a huge porn-star type hug..

SMIBers in action--CyclingTom and Lance

St. Micheal's

This lighthouse was the most easily accessible, and in a quaint town:

And what about this sexy toy, owned by a Quebec snowbird.

And Walter/Patty always smiling (good thing for their Harley, otherwise we would not have gotten any street cred)

This one is at the top of the bay, and probably less than 20 feet tall. Poor Cycling Tom waited for us for 2 hrs as Lance found the gravel road for the Harley to take..
