The bead was broken on that side.
The belts/wirey things inside the tire were rusty, so I am thinking I didn't do it.
Probably put that side of the tire on first, and never knew.

I think we can agree to blame boomer for any tire woes this year. He set the bar pretty high before the season even started.

Unfortunately, when it comes off the wheel, it looks like this

so $400 for a new tire, at least new fork seals and oil.
Tomorrow will be fork removal day

That sucks for you boys blowing them chainsaw tires off. Almost makes me reconsider installing mine.
Oh nevermind, I have three Xtra sets of vintage forks (sorry boomer don't think they are comparable).
I thought that I spooned on my rear on my first attempt with out popping the tube but alas, an hour later it didn't have any pressure. Love the leverage those big spoons give!

The news just stated that there are 7 golf courses open in Milwaukee County tomorrow...

Think we can ride there?

The weather better get cold while I am in Kansas City....

No, yers was leaned over pretty good boomer.

The Fredette's started to bite better as the day wore on. Apparently I was doing it wrong. Swiss said that it was that I wasn't cranked on the throttle hard enough, the tires don't like to be babied (and he proceeded to pass me onthe outside through the fluff).

Scott said that the tire carcass needs to flex and roll a bit to loosen up the cords as everything is stiff when delivered.

I also noticed the black was wearing off the points and the shipping oil came off the screws too.

I was trying to ride them like the AMA's on the KDX, and they don't like to be ridden that way.
