I don't know what was so bad about a 30mph wind blowing a white out into my face was. The ice was really rough though.
The Dt rode okay. It's kinda hard to get a feel for the bike on rough ice like that. But at least I know that I can load her up, travel to distant cold places and play on the ice now.

I would like to do the Wallace Lake race if there is still ice. Hopefully, my tires are in by then.

Is it really almost February?

Three people, including a 10-year-old child, were rescued from atop the roof of their car on Shawano Lake Saturday after it broke through the ice and sank in about 5 feet of water.

According to the Shawano County Sheriff's Office:

Katie Atkinson, 24, of Round Lake, Ill., was trying to drive off the lake Saturday when she hit a soft patch and the car started to go under. The Shawano Fire Department responded in an airboat, and she was rescued along with 29-year-old Matthew Weso and the child.

Also Saturday, a Madison man lost his ATV and ice shanty in open water while towing the shanty on Lake Mendota near Warner Park, the Dane County Sheriff's Office said. The man did not fall through and was not injured.

Don't you have one of them fancy orange bikes with ice tires to boot?
Get yourself some fenders made up.

I am planning on racing this one as well.
Not sure who is going to be lucky enough to be on the team yet.

You'd do well to be on a set of MF1's for that race since I believe they are allowed

Yeah I do, but like you said, no fenders yet. And my front tire is scary bad!

Different gearing.

And when you are doing 50 thru the corners it probably evens out.
