3' long section of high strength threaded rod coming tomorrow for the rear fender attachment.

Got fine thread. It was more $ but I think better strength.

I'll have extra. It should do 2 bikes for sure.....

I talked to the owner of the Dockside Pub & Grill on Beaver Dam Lake last night. He says hes got lots of parking on land and nice place to drive onto the lake. He says that Jonny law will not be care if there's a bunch holigans on dirt bikes out in front of the bar. He also says that the end of the lake hes on is almost all summer and or rental property. The address is W11146 County Rd G Beaver Dam Wi. 53916. So if ice conditions crap out on bago this guy would really like it if we all went there and rode and enjoyed a burger and maybe a few beers.

Ice conditions were good on Rock Lake yesterday.
I am sure they should be just as good this afternoon

i made axle plates for the bike last night. of dubious quality. Not gonna worry about it for this weekend but if I dont get the rear fender on by next weekend, make me a duplicate

With all the sturgeon spearers likely parking close to shore (where we were) if there is another place to go with good ice and we can make a sizeable track, that might not be a bad idea

Well that seems like overkill... What thread size didja get?

I've been meaning to measure the ID of the axle for awhile now.

On a different front, Whats the quietest exhaust pipe packing material?

i know that place, nice spot....
much more shallow than bago, no channel currents to worry about
and also on the other side of the lake where aerators are sometimes used

multi layers for the win.

First layer around the perf tube it self should be stainless steel wool wrap. I have some if needed. Second layer can be something a bit more dense such as rock wool and final layer or second layer use normal fairly dense fiberglass matt which is standard white in color packing.

The second question is how tight/thick? A bit looser will attenuate better but not last quite as long.

Former student just posted on FB.

Cracks on the East side of Bago just opened up... 5' of open water.

Hope our area on the South side holds together.

Ben I have a bag of the loose fill fiberglass if you want. I used it to repack the GG last year. It's kind of a pain in the ass vs the blanket style but you can have it ifn you want.

rear axle ID seems to be about 11mm. OD about 13/16. Those 3/4" holes I punched in axle plates isnt' quite enough.
