No, most ADVer's that have ridden both pro and home builts will insist they are crap.

You don't need to spend $700 on pro tires, used ones come by for sale regularly and will cost less than the materials you stick into home builts (that are crap).

Weld and drink beer mostly. It's mostly tacked together, needs some engineering triangulation for strength too. Probably one night in the garage with a few thinking heads should get it done.
