The best part about taking a picture of your bike napping is that you aren't in it!

Um, yeah....

Hugging the inside corner, GS hit a soft spot and got sucked into the ditch, and spun on the jugs. I have no idea what happened to me. Had nowhere to go, and next thing I know I was watching the windshield auger into the side of the hill (followed by my head). Was going pretty slow, so no harm, no foul. Was weird though. Felt like I was just sucked in. Looks like I hit my front brakes, which pitched me into the soft ditch. Probably could have throttled out of it, but that would have required running over my husband. Was pretty funny actually. What a couple of maroons!

You've got to feather that brake like it's a hot curling iron. You did good to avoid a metal on man collision.

We have gotten over the fear of hurting our bikes on these slow tip overs. Let 'er go and get out of the way.

I have to get used to using that rear brake with my big boots on. The Sidi Crossfires are pretty stiff.

We had 7 naps this trip. The two here, two for me and one for him in the silt up by Shasta, and one each on the freeway.

Yeah, the freeway.
On the side of the road at the Truckee agriculture check station.
We got honked at.
Two tards in hi viz laying on the freeway.
It was actually pretty hilarious.

More in my Lost Coast R.R. below.....

Yep. It's probably built more solidly than your back, plus it can be fixed, not worth struggling against that weight on a slow fall, just make sure you aren't underneath it.

Just to keep this current theme consistent (getting both the 450 EXC and a 990), I essentially did the same thing in 2010.
