I'm thinking of buying a 2013 KTM 990 Baja Edition that was involved in a front end collision. THe front end is tucked back/forks are bent. How difficult is it to repair something like this? Just swap out the forks?

Looks like this:

I would inspect the frame as well. Even if it's good, I would still replace the triple tree and the forks just to be safe.

Agree... and I think is not quite possible for the triple tree to be straight judging by the angle they now have the forks.

Looks also like the headlight and instrument bracket will have to be replaced, easy to do but hard to tell what you'll find once you start removing plastics

If the price is right, go for it.

Hey, GAS... welcome to the Insanes' Orange Club...
You have proven already you have good taste for bikes (from now on at least ). Now you have to show us all the beast wandering around the beautiful CZ.

Cheers!

Is it wrong that ever since getting the KTM I want to replace my hi-viz yellow helmet out for one thats hi-viz orange?

I also wish somebody made a madular adventure/dual sport helmet. I want a dual sport style helmet but I love being able to flip up the entire face piece to talk to buddies and take drinks of water while at quick stops.

I think your problem is that no helmet company invests time in a product just to allow drink plain water...

(sorry, couldn't resist... )
