Great bike. Planning my COBDR, farkling appropriately. Spending enough on the farkles to have bought a used one and stripped the farkles off it for the new one! This is the ride home from the dealer and in the backpack are the FMF slip-ons, the start of the farkling. Trying to figure out what to do with the stock slip-ons... Nice hunks of metal and durable containers...

Happy Trails- Happy Farkling!

Tezza.
The Cee Bailey was excellent. I had it on my 950 beforehand, so I actually used it for about 8 years between the two bikes. It only had very minor scratches after 8 years and was still perfectly clear with no yellowing.

I am 6' tall and it cured any wind buffeting. I just got an 1190 and the tall screen is one thing I miss. I ordered the factory all screen but may get another Cee Bailey if the factory screen doesn't work out.

Here's the bike waiting for my commute home the other morning.

Thumb Riding + Modifications + Aftermarket + Shop Time / $ = :)

2010 990-R / This photo was taken the day after I finished the last round of modifications this spring. It has several thousand more miles on it now and is not as clean. More importantly, I have more appreciation for this motorcycle now than I did the day the photo was taken.

Forgot about this one too. We went up to the Lakes a couple of weeks back to hike up the 3rd highest mountain in England, Hellvelyn. Went up on the bike Friday evening, did the hike Saturday, decamped and rode home Saturday afternoon.

Just in case you're wondering the hill beyond the bike isn't the mountain I am talking about. This is it, not very big compared to most in Europe and the mighty US of A.

Gav: Stunning pics mate!

Question for you: here in Colorado when we get into "terrain like that" - the lack of large vegetation is caused due to lack of oxygen - i.e. we find that pattern above 11,500ft or so.

I'm assuming you are a lot lower than that; what is the cause of the lack of trees there? Wind? No top soil? Cold?

cheers,
Ed

Hey Ed

Thanks for the compliments

It's only a mere 3,117 feet, but the hike up was stunning, we had to scramble climb over a section called Striding Edge, it was pretty hairy in places and Jack said afterwards if she knew it was going to be like that she wouldn't have done it.

This is Jack coming to the end of striding edge.

As for the plantation, I guess like you say is a combination of severe weather climate in winter, maybe?

Hope you're well my friend?

I know this is the thread for showing off our wheels, so I've just done a quick ride report with a few more pics of the hike here http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...4#post21795474
