Did the guy mean 'bottom out' as in suspension OR 'bottom out' as in his ass sticking out rearwards??
'bottom' also means ass here in sunny UK

lc12jt, That orange bike of yours has some black additions where your legs hit the tank. Is that for protection? What is the material your using there?

Wow. Just... Wow.

After reading about these things for months, I finally had time and the opportunity to see a KTM 950. Wow. I actually went to the local bike show just to see one but I didn't see one if it was there. Well, I went to a nearby (Beaudry's ) dealership to check one out.

Wow.

It's definitely big. And orange. Everything about it screamed quality. The controls were right where I'd expect them and seemed really smooth. Then I sat on it. It looked big but it felt perfect once I got on. I'm around 5'10" with a thirty inch inseam -I couldn't flat-foot it (They called it n '05, they said the "'05 and a halfs" would be lower) but I felt remarkably comfortable on it. The most amazing thing was how small it felt! I have been toying with getting a DL650 but in comparison, the KTM felt narrower, smaller and more maneuverable.

It may be a few years out but I plan to get one of these.

In acute jealousy....

PepBoys sells this stuff called Grip Tape. It's extremely durable and goes on with ease. It also comes off without leaving any residue. As soon as I saw that my knees were marring the clearcoat, I threw some on.

"Great shot, but you had bottom out pretty bad on this? Yes ? No?"

No, the suspension held up great. That shot of Dave is amazing... makes mine look rather pathetic. Then there's Scot Harden -- here's a shot I took of him at the Elsinore Grand Prix.

Hello Yogoi... Are you looking for a winter project? Too cold to ride up there?

Okay, it was easy. I photoshopped you lettering off, but then I realized I don't have a smugmug account. Check it out at:

What do you think? Oh, and feel free to take the picture and post it if you so desire...

KTM without lettering
