My 07 990 on its first trip about a year ago. A dry lake bed outside of Pahrump, NV Since then I sold the Safari tanks and put the stockers back on. The gobi's have been completely thrashed into oblivion and now I run a giant loop or soft side bags. Love the bike when it doesnt have so much crap hung all over it.

Issues with chewing up fuel pump o rings, issues with expansion so bad that I cant bolt the tank back on without help, too much weight in the front for deep sand riding.

Thats good to hear. From what I gathered, some tanks have problems, some dont wrt eating the pump orings.

I sold mine to a guy with a 950 so he was using the block off plate anyway and not concerned about o ring issues.

Here is mine, bought it two weeks ago,

07 990ADV with 5k on the clock for 8.5k. Not a rough and rugged pic I am afraid but they will come for sure. I see a TAT run in my horizon.

first post

Hello everyone,

I have been reading this blog for quite a while now. Don´t like to write much but I believe it´s time to introduce myself after learning so much from you all.

I´m a happy owner of a 990 adventure (this is my second KTM 990 adventure actually, had an orange one before). I live close to Madrid, Spain, and I love riding this beast. I have ridden these bikes for over 40000 km and never had a single mechanical problem with them. And every time I go riding, I still can believe what I can do with it.

Here is a pics of my beauty on my way home coming from work with the winter set-up (high fender).

Cheers

PS: Hope to contribute a bit more to this blog from now on.

My First Bike!

I thought I'd post a picture of my first bike. I waited 51 years to get this and it was really worth it. I can't believe how much fun I'm having! This 990 Adventure is all that I can handle at times, but I wouldn't want anything less.

I've been reading this site for several months and have even posted a couple threads. Just want to say thanks for all the great info and ideas.

Proud owner of an '07 KTM 990 Adventure!
