30ft utility pole is about the smallest. same with 125 foot tower. Most power poles are 45-65 feet and the average tower is probily 150-200ft. at least you didnt refer to it as a "telephone pole"

The most common turbine in the US right now is the GE 1.5 megawatt on an 80 meter tower. So roughly 265 feet to the hub/center of rotation. Over the next few years though that will change to 1.8, and 3.6 meg turbines.

Yup. Great pics. Keep 'em coming. But please resize them prior to posting as my crappy connection takes nearly 5 minutes to load the page with so many big pics.

Scorpions and MUD

Luckily I had an extra mirror back in my garage and except for a few bruises it was a free crash.

I love this bike. This is going to be a good summer. It is great to be home!

Welcome Home Brother! Thank you for your Service!!!

Here she is...

Haven't taken it for a ride in anger yet - picked it up at the dealer near dusk then rode home in the dark/rain. Was going to do a bit of the Grand Ridge Road but the combination of darkness, a large backpack, a lot of invisible wallabies, brand new tyres and wet roads scared me off. Maiden adventure will be in 2 weeks.

(Also, a picture of the recently departed Triumph for posterity)

Bye Bye Triumph

i believe you know that the idea is from the dakar red bull team. the clean one which is mine, is not being painted. it has stickers. i made it here in athens. it is not exactly the same as the original but i like it. (and it will become much prettier with some mud on it.)
