VERY NICE!!!!!
Thanks!

They are Hepco Becker bars modified to fit around the tanks. Need them for the lights, highway pegs and 990 bags.

Over 8000 feet? Now?!?!

You're killing me. I can't get above 5k on dirt, and a considerable number of roads below that are still snowed out. Valley floor here is 3.3k, so that don't leave much...

Great pix as always!

Same conditions over here in the Sierra Nevada foothills, snow line is up around 5,500 feet with larger patches still on the lower north side. Rain expected all week which may help (or make it worse) depending on the elevation. Anxious for the warmer weather.

That treeline photo was over 10,000! I was surprised when I got up there.. I kept expecting to be turned back on the way by snow.

It'll still be August before we can get up here...

Don't now the difference between US and EU-Version but for EU its just plug and play, everything you need ist included

Here are some pics...

and here you'll find a video to see the difference between high and low beam:

BEEMAKILLER, just a lurker here, ride a Tiger 955i, but will be spending the night in Calgary on 2 May. If you see a black Ranger pulling a trailer with a Tiger and Honda Deauville, NT700V in US, thats me. Point is is there a good cheap hotel recommendation? Maybe get together for a beer and check out that bike. I am moving to Anchorage.

If had know in Germany what I know now I would have bought a German spec 990. I forgot to get the customs paperwork signed for my Uly I bought through AAFES and had to have it certified for US registration just like a foreign bike. So I go to Customs and tell him what I need. Asks me for my USAREUR registration, checks VIN and whips out the paperwork ten minutes later. So if I can get stationed in Germany again, will be bringing a Euro spec bike home with me.

This reason I bought the Uly it was the only US spec adventure bike I could get for reasonable money. Couldn't get a us spec 990 there.

I used Google Translate to read the "tanksiegel" page on KREEM you linked to. Looks like it's a rust-remover/sealer, right? The video's a bit confusing, but looks like a multi-step process using a fairly noxious chemical blend. My question is: did the KTM/Safari tank owners you're referring to use this stuff on the inside or outside of the tanks?

In the US, you'll need to buy the European headlight harness separately to hookup the DE/DE kit. Btw, you can always rig up the additional Touratech DE/Xenon auxiliary kit, if the basic setup doesn't get it done...

Really? That's annoying - the Touratech info I got when I ordered the DE/DE said that it would require some non-plug connections, in other words, that I would have to make some wire to wire connections because the EU/US plugs would not connect. That's no big deal, but I wasn't aware that there was a reason to order the Euro harness as well. Thanks for the heads up. I've been waiting weeks for the headlight setup already (they told me it could take 6...) so hope I can graft it together without the other harness, otherwise I'll be using the new light to check out the fall snowflakes...

Did you order the Xenon lamp separately after the fact?
