Finally back on track- been spending more time on my 450 as of late and it felt good to get out on the beast. We did a little two up through the southern San Juans into the Rio grande nation forests. No good pics of the challenging stuff but those who have done Ellis pass on the big bike can relate to the fun it can be two up after rain. Probably one of the most technical two up rides I have done, the first 30 miles of the day were tough, the last 100 were pretty easy other then a lot of map reading while looking for ways out that were trails and not just gravel roads. Gotta love a state where you can spend a whole day riding and only cover 130 miles because of the lack of black top. These are amazing machines- we went places that you think no big bike would go, did it two up and had a blast doing it.

Women thought it was funny how I had to study the map so much : she said she wanted adventure today, not an adventure if you know where you are going !

Sweet ride and cool graphics .

Keep an eye on your coolant reservoir level. Mine too drops slowly over a couple thousand miles

Thanks. I ordered a CJ Designs water pump rebuild kit yesterday My oil is looking milky through the CJ Designs clear cover and I have been loosing a bit of coolant.

Just been watching my temps and level fairly close.

Does my bike make my arse look fat? Oh boy. Bike has been lowered 1.5". I know... Sacrilegious to some but with basically zero dirt exp it's made this bike comfortable and I go placed I felt sketchy at stock height.

Your temps and level aren't the biggest concern... it's the collapsing of your paper oil filter when it gets water in it that starves your engine of oil that's the concern.

...but you know that
