Cars & Coffee - Irvine

Anyone ever go to cars & coffee in Irvine on Saturday mornings?

http://irvine.carsandcoffee.info/

I'm going to check out the cars this Saturday (12/7) from 7am to 9am then go for a cruise somewhere afterwards. I'll be riding my GS. Anyone else want to go?

Been to a few of 'em. The first time, before I knew better, I parked my RT over near a parking structure, then I learned there is parking inside the gathering area. As you enter the driveway, all the bikes park on the right side of the lot.

The bike gathering alone is not too bad!

Lots of nice cars with some great histories and interesting owners, and some owners with tons of $$$ that just need a place to show off their high dollar european machines. That's ok too, the newer stuff is pretty sweet.

You'll enjoy it.

Oh, btw, since you're heading out early...

might as well head over to Magnolia & Adams in HB and check out that weekly gathering.

That group is out there before sun up. By 8am, it's too late, most of them are gone by then.

Expect downpours this Saturday. Bring yer raingear and expect to get drenched.

But yeah, the Irvine C&C is a good event. At summertime events there can be 500 cars and 5000 people.

I take my old benzo down there - it's a mint '79 240D I brought back from Wyoming a few years ago.

Good place to scout for buy, or to prep for a concours event. I had a scout for The Dana Point Concours de Elegance recruit me for their event a couple of years ago. Unfortunately I was riding on that weekend so it got pre-empted. Which BTW is another phenomenal event, it's at the St. Regis Monarch in June, on the golf course, and there's a whole vintage bike section that is usually pretty spectacular as well.

Ok looks like I'll be starting in HB at the doughnut place. Then over to Irvine for C&C followed by the IMS in LB. Lunch at the Yardhouse. That's my plan.

As for the rain, the forecast shows .12 inches. I can piss more than that every morning.
