The store at Humpback rocks gave me a pocket sized list of all the gas stations along the length of the BRP . I thought it was pretty nice , every station was easily accessible

Usually the leaves are still green on the northern end and more color once I get into NC at the higher elevations. On this trip the northern end had a lot of brown/dead leaves and down in NC a lot of them are still green. I did find a few areas with decent color.

It is beautiful anytime of year, but fall is definitely my favorite.

In July I ran into a guy on Mt Mitchell riding a Super Tenere that said he owned an Inn at Little Switzerland that hosted a lot of riders. Night time fell around the time I was passing through this time so I decided to check it out.
They have a building Called the Diamond Back that has several rooms and covered parking for your bike. Beautiful views as well. I think I paid $69.
