Speed traps on the BRP

I hope it's OK to add a practical side thread here for BRP riders
I am seeing more BRP speedtraps every year. For whatever reason we could speculate, doesn't really matter, you just don't want a ticket. BRP speeding tickets are expensive!
Beware the all-white Chevy Suburban. This is the main speedtrap vehicle. No lights on top.
There a few white police sedan with lights on top, usually in the middle to southern part of the parkway
I think you're safe under 55 mph but don't quote me on that if you get snagged.
Lots of speed traps around MP 3 and 24 (plus minus a few miles) in my neck of the woods. Around Boone and Moses Cone has a lot of police too.

Good to know. The ones I was seeing 3-4 years ago were black.
I'm sure they'd tell you they just want you to be safe, that's all. But you don't see them instituting rigorous driver training and real testing to award drivers' licenses. Instead you see all manner and levels of competence getting licenses. So, it's quite obvious that our safety is not really their concern, instead the effort is in pretending to be concerned. Controlling us is their primary concern. Benefitting from the fruits of our labor is a close second.

Whenever I see BRP, I have to think. I have an XR650L, which in some circles, is affectionately known as the Big Red Pig, or BRP for short. I've even had it on the parkway, where forest access roads emerge. So the BRP on the BRP.

Rog, looks like you hit the peak colors. This week's weather would be good enough to enjoy the parkway. I'm dreaming about it!

The colors didn't seem to be as bright as past years in most locations.
Someone said it was because of all the rain, but I think I have heard the same said about dry summer, so I don't really know.

Rainy, rainy, rainy summer here in the southeast = poor leaf color in the fall. Really cold nights in the early fall could have salvaged a good leaf season, but that didn't happen.

What happened here is that we got a snap of hard freezing before the color change got into full swing; that caused many trees to lose their leaves while still green. I have more green leaves on the ground right now than any other color!

But I do have some color in the yard...
