Great write up.Ive lived in alaska for 11 years and never went up the haul road or past fairbanks for that matter.Fairbanks was waaaay to hot for my comfort the 1st and last time i was up there but i imagine going up the haul road it must be cooler.

It was cool enough when I went on the haul road. I had a long sleeve tee shirt and a fleece that I picked up at wally world under my 'stich. Even turned on the grips a couple times.

Camps fees?

How much did it cost to camp at most areas? Ill be riding up in 2012 and will camp most nights. Im tryinto figure out my budget at this point. Any info would be great.
Great RR. Read it all in the last few days and hope to have as good of a time as you did. Excellent!

As I was doing such a quick trip, there wasn't much time to search for hotels. I had found the hotel in Prince George on-line and booked it ahead of time.

Also, I don't have much of a beer fund, which gives me more money for food.

Thanks a bunch. Ive heard that some places are high in Canada, but it seems like they are pretty close to what we have in the lower 48.
