Anyone own/try the wider Pivot Pegz Mark 3? Leaning towards Pivot Pegz because of the great reviews, but wondering if the larger platform enhances any ergonomic issues with the shifter, brake, etc.

I own the Mark 3.
Unfortnuatly weather's bad in Germay. So was just able to ride few miles.
Also can't compare them to the Mark 2 - never rode them.
But I can say, they're awesome, and I don't have any issues riding them, with big, heavy winter boots.

I know, not much info.
Can write a more detailed review somtimes March or so.

ride on

After some chats with DasMatti, I also went with the Mark 3's. Was concerned with the width and possible interference with the side stand spring as with the F5's, but no issues at all. The width did close the gap to the shifter, but Touratech Seattle is right down the street from my office and it was an excuse to add the adjustable/folding shifter. My first go with Pivot Pegz and extremely happy with them.

not related directly to Pivot Pegz, but i'm considering getting these as well. i bought the sidi adventure boots (wow, great boots) and i'm having issues with getting my toe under the shifter properly so i'm eying up a shifter replacement that extends, probably the touratech version since it is cheaper than the wunderlich by 50%.

i'm wondering if the lower stance of the Pivot Pegs will also help with the boot issue and maybe then i don't need a new shift lever although the fold-able tip might save some future potential breakage.

lowering the pegs also might help with confort since i'm 6' 4"...

I wear an 11 boot and I also thought the lower stance M3's would help the shifter issues, but it made it worse since it significantly closed the gap from the edge of the pedal to the shifter. Nice that you can rock your foot back and forth to help adjust your position, but it was way to cramped. Hence the move to the Touratech adjustable.

thanks for that input; that'll pretty much seal the deal for a new adjustable shifter.

Got a brand new pair of those too! Maybe I'll invest in the adjustable shifter and be done with it.

IIRC, mine are MK2s, but if those are anything to go by, the fact that they pivot will more than offset the effect of the increase in width when it comes to shifting, braking, etc. So long as they aren't so wide they actually foul anything when at rest (and they've have to be really wide to do that) or when folding up in a crash.

Can someone school me on the different Fastway pegs? F3 vs F5 vs F6?

Aftermarket Footpegs F800GS

G'day all,
I'm looking to replace the standard footpegs on my F8 to something that is the same height but wider, any suggestions, advice, thoughts or recommendations?
