Conditions of Route 190 and 198
I am looking for the long way to Fresno from L.A. via Route 190 and 198 thru Sequoia National Forest and Kings Canyon National Park. I am from Colorado and will be riding thru end of April or very beginning of May. Do I have to worry about snow or will it be California beach weather???

Be sure to include Caliente/Bodfish on that route, just south of the lake, as you come up toward Kernville.
Is the road open thru' Camp Nelson? It was closed two years ago, ah, but that was November. How is Sherman Pass road? Open all the way thru'? That could be included by getting off Caliente Bodfish and heading east, then north to the eastern end of Sherman Pass road. That way you would have Kennedy Meadows in there. dc |
