Paul,

Got home today from a less than prefect day and work and saw the video.

Just took my son out for his first ride on his bike. Here he is, geared up and ready to go.

Very cool fanatic! Reminds me of my son 20 years ago on his Honda 50.

You are right Bill tomorrow is going to be great.

Brian you are taking the SuperTenere right? I mean WTF S10? At least we have a chance pushing a 600lb bike out of mud.

I still can't believe I let you dorks talk me into getting up at 6 am to go ride.

Weather Hazzard

For those going up to Toroweap we are going to have to be very careful not to let a storm come in while we are on or past any area that could have mud issues.

What do you all think? This may be a pavement only ride to the North Rim and it looks like a very wet one coming back Sunday.

You weren't kidding when you said he's a big boy. :)

I'd be down for a kids ride. I need to fix the tank on my ttr though. I really don't like riding the DRZ when I'm riding with the kid.

I know you guys already took off, but I thought I would post anyways.

The last couple weeks have been so busy for me that I haven't had anytime to pack. I literally didn't start packing until this morning before I had to come in for my half day of work. I hope I didn't forget anything.

I hope you guys have a good ride up to Jacob's Lake. David and I will be leaving somewhere between 1 and 2 from north Phoenix. Looking forward to seeing ya.

Have fun, post lots of pictures and I'll see you on the next one.

hey Loren check this out:

http://www.expertgps.com/data/az/mines.asp

If you click on where it says " download all 1439 Arizona mines" it will save a gpx file with waypoints of the mines.
Then you can upload all the waypoints using Poi Loader.

Toroweap

Back from Toroweap!

It was a great trip. No flats! Paul was the only casualty. He hit a big boulder in the middle of the trail with this rear tire while trying to miss it with his front tire. The blow caused him to lose control and smash his ankle into the berm on the side of the road and then somehow he ran into a bush/tree and flipped over the handlebars and onto his back. At least that's how he conveyed it to us. No one saw it and there aren't any pictures so we aren't really quite sure it's true.

He's okay though. Brian quickly dug out the man up spray out of his med kit and we continued the ride after tightening Paul's chain.

I'll load some of the pics I took once I get them all downloaded.
