You know your instructor is the real deal when he starts the class with "here, hold my beer."

The real deal wouldn't need someone to hold his beer!

I just got back today from my trip to Seattle and back and it was a hell of a good time! No dirt unfortunately, just about 3800 miles of asphalt and some amazing views. Apparently I had skipped an essential pre-ride check and realized in Oregon that the center of my back tire was essentially a slick, but the way back I took the PCH so I was on the side of the tire most of the time anyway! I actually stayed dry for the most part, only got rained on twice, and the second (and worst) time was crossing the valley this morning. Figure that one out. At least I wasn't hot, right? Here are some phone pictures stolen from Instagram:

I told him he was too big, but did he listen? No.

Heh heh heh.

A wild dualsport appeared overnight:

Gimme a break Oregon:

Northern California, I think:

And not too far (in comparison) from home:

Edit: Also look at my crazy angled windshield. I still can't get the wind to completely cooperate with me but that's as close as I've gotten.

What a ride. The storms around here have been crazy. Blue skies to dumping within a few minutes. I have seen a few motorcycles stopped under the overpasses.

Good to see you made it back safe. Post more pics.

When and where is this tire changing class?

I volunteer to teach the "How to pinch the tube" module. It's not as hard as you might think.

Tire Changin'

Doubt if I can make it this friday afterall. I've seen Reidy change quite a few tires already, but he has some good tricks to show you.

Don, I'll try again to make the next event. Thanks for putting it together.
