Some highlights of yesterday's journey:
CrownRoyal hits warp speed climbing fours peaks.
RickCool gets a flat tire.
CrownRoyal gets so angry that we are slow he rips off both of his mirrors so he doesn't have to worry about looking back.
I return to group to aide in pinching a fresh tube.
Tube#3 installed and holds air.
Gulliver waits patiently as does CrownRoyal atop 4 peaks.
The rest of the group begins the ascent.
CrozB and Ricardo hear a side by side crash and run to their rescue and assist in righting the wrecked vehicle.
As a reward the two young knuckleheads meet AZtinbender and wife (Kathy) in apex of curve and barely avoid collision. Bike on ground side by side driver speeds off and nearly hits me.
Atop 4 peaks it is determined that CrownRoyal hates AZ more than I do and wants no part of his affiliation and tears off his plate.
Shortly thereafter side by side driver passing another nearly sends me off the side. Oh yeah he was passing in a blind curve.
On our way down the mountain I met up with a cow that wanted to say hi. Luckily she decided that there was more grass to eat farther down and moved.
CrownRoyal was greeted by some nice officers at the bottom.
Of course I couldn't keep my mouth shut and explain the OHV rules as they were explained to me. After much time we went our separate ways.
CrownRoyal flipped off the cops ran the stop sign and hauled butt to lunch.
After lunch the cops were following CrownRoyal around Roosevelt Lake.
He noticed they all had tazers, so he borrowed one of my mirrors to make them go away.
After fueling up RickCool and I headed home on the Apache Trail.
We had a very pleasant ride. A bit warm but not many bad drivers so it was a very good ride.
Oh yeah only one incident, we stopped at Tortilla Flats and found out that they turned the stream into a giant port-a-potty. Well at least that's what it smells like.

Well much thanks to Bill & Brian (sorry, I don't have the correct online names) for giving it the old college try with on the fly repairs for the Ural. Especially Brian, you are one crazy guy (I mean that nicely!) and one determined guy to try the towing thing!

Anyway, despite all of that, it was a fun weekend everyone! Thanks for the idea and for waiting on the slow sidecar rider ;) Next time will be better!

stranded

Nah, we are fine. Me and Gulliver have just been hanging out at Christopher Creek restaurant's patio. Dave is on the way with the truck and trailer. Gotta love the ADV folks, they are always so awesome at helping and always multiple offers of help!

Man that sucks! I am really sorry to hear that you are still stranded Karla. Make sure you call me if you have problems. I am going to dinner with my kids, but I always have my cell phone on. Good luck to you guys. I still feel bad, I was just a few miles away. -Paul

Another Ural?

Hope you get back ok and get the rig up and running soon.

Bonnie still has her's but hasn't ridden it much lately.

We should go for a ride soon.

Brian

Okay we are all loaded up and ready to hit the 260 and home.

Yes Brian/Brain, another Ural and yes, we should go for a ride. Well, soon. Once the rig is fixed up again. Where do you take Bonnie's for service? Anyone you recommend?

Sounds like I want to ride with Crown Royal! I mean both the user and the beverage.
