Are you guys still planning on going with these storms coming in tonight/tomorrow? Looks like we might get away with staying dry until mid afternoon.

I'm riding regardless. Will pack my rain liner.

Was thinking more of lightening, hail, and dust storms...

Good morning all. I wanted to introduce myself and hope to meet up/ride with some/all of you. Name is Ron. Live in Gilbert. Currently have a 2009 V-Strom DL650, 2006 Suzuki DRZ400SM and a 2006 Yamaha WR450F.

I just picked up the V-Strom a few months ago with the intent of doing some road/trail riding. Not looking to take the Strom on any goat trails, have the 450 for that. I'm heading up the Apache Trail and then up to Young, Payson, etc next week with some guys from SWR.

Anyway, let me know if there any room at the table for another.

Ron

Hi THB, the more the merrier. Sorry you missed our trip today. I got back 40 minutes ahead of the down pour, betting the rest who went on a bit longer ride were not so lucky.

Just got back in about 8:45. The monsoon hit us hard about 20 miles north of Fountain Hills. Really high winds made it a rough stretch until I got down into Mesa.

Hope everyone got back ok and thanks for the help with my flat.

I made it home around 9pm "safely". Had to stay away from 202 after feeling like a "kite" being blown away by the wind and riding in an angle as if I was sailing. It was fun though but a bit scary. Got home soaking wet... feet and hands mostly. I was glad I took the time to put the rain gear on.

Yep. Just enough time to shower and head back to Higley and Brown from Avondale. Pretty good buffet and the show made us laugh.

Good riding with you guys yesterday. I'll be watching this thread and look forward to riding again soon.

Something cheap and easy to maintain until you find what you really want.
Thanks for the links, but I am setting my goal a little higher. Have something in the works. It may take a few weeks and a long ride in early October.
If it works out I will be ready as the cool air arrives.
