GPS Tracks HERE

Julio, on a side note, I used OSMAND+ today by taking a google map route converting it down to a GPX file and importing to OSMAND+. Being with the group I was not able to stop and play around with it much, but the importing of GPX as a route worked great. Bill took a different route than I had imported but it was not obnoxious when off course and didn't try to get me to go back because of missed way points.

How about Cherry Creek? Jo did a great write up on it. http://azgsgirl.wordpress.com/2013/1...erry-creek-rd/

I'm waiting for a part for my dad's car that I ordered last week. I need to get the Buick in order before I leave for Washington. I'd love to squeeze that ride in.

Ron,

The only issue for me is that it has to be a overnighter and I don't know if next weekend will work.

I had a great time today, guys. It was nice to meet you all.

I should have brought my KLX, the road was plenty easy and the sand was not a concern. I enjoyed the ride very much, and I hadn't been on Cochran Rd. before. Thanks to Ron, too, who went with Hal and I to get a sandwich in Florence. It was nice to sit and talk! (sorry, I don't like Los Hermanos, no offense). We had trailered to just outside of Florence and were on our way back there to the car and trailer. I was glad to be back in the warm car at that point, I was getting cold.

Anyway, here are a few photos that Hal and I took. He had my camera for the tree vault photos because I wanted one of me riding through there. That was my favorite part! I have a few of you guys riding in the river, but they are mostly duplicates of what has already been posted.

The river, as yet undisturbed:

Thanks again for a great day!!

Cool, thanks. I see you guys just went straight up through Cochran rd and didn't deviate. Last night I was looking at alternate trails in the area and saw a few washes that would take you straight to the bridge. I see you guys didn't make it to that point but it would be cool to venture off around there.
Kudos to Guliver for helping out.
And thanks for the update on the OSMAND+
I think I'm going to hold out on any tablet for navigating right now because I'd like to see more people use them (and particularly crash with them :lol) before I dive into getting something. My Oregon does a mighty fine job for now.

Nice riding with you all again! I'm Jeff, the guy that was on the KLR. Was fun crossing the Gila.

It's nice to have the big bike back on the dirt after my first shot at motorcycle repairs :)

Here's a link to my solo trip across AZ that I was talking about. It was a paid piece, so those with ADD should just skip around to the photos :)
