Eddy... I have toyed with the idea of another thumper. I would probably go 650 again though. That 350 was fun, but slabbing sucked.

Here is a place we all know.

I know the crossing is slick bit i didn't expect the water on the exit to be icey. Ural spun out and I think I would have been on my ass if I was on the Strom.

Is that a two wheel drive Ural? I've been looking at those with some interest, but went on a ride with one once, and they seem to need some performance upgrades!

Yes 2wd. Urals are, well Urals... They are very old school but they have been making some improvements year over year. They are evwn coming out with fuel injection this coming year.

There's a guy up in Prescott that has 3 or 4 of them on his lot. Nice, but the price has tripled since I first saw them 10 yrs. ago. Used to be able to get a new one for 5 or 6K, now they're 16K. WTF?

We had a good ride at Bulldog canyon today. Ricardo and I still haven't found the right line on the steep hill. I don't know how I made it down the first time I went.

The hill has owned me the past two times.

The list of people that have crashed on that crossing is long and distinguished. Ice in the winter, slime in the summer. Glad you're ok. I thought that rig was traded for a canam.

so, that is why the Honda is up for sale.
Don! This sucks. You are the guy that can kick Cancer's Ass! My prayers are with you brother! Seriously if you need anything - I owe you for kick starting the XR when I had the dislocated toe - you call me.

Warmer Sunday too. Last weekend was great weather for riding, but Bloody Basin is a bit chopped up due to rain. I would have preferred mud then as I was on the Ural

Here are a couple minutes of Video from my ride Saturday starting with a right that brought the car up a bit giving G a bump, then hitting the ice patch at 7 Springs Wash (@1:50)

Great video with the pooch and matching riding outfits! Why doesn't the dog have a helmet? ATGATT
