Downhill into a ditch...let off the brake at the last second but the front end packed in pretty hard and I think the fender extender got caught in the knobbies....

The cam came with some cool pivoting arms that my old cam didn't have. The way my old cam sat on my helmet it always caught the lip of the helmet so this go around I wasted to eliminate that and get a clear shot of everything in front of me. I guess having the cam extended out like that isn't too great of an idea. Especially if you're riding through tight stuff that you can whack tree branches and get the cam (and your head) rearranged.

This is 99% of what I caught yesterday.

The very first little clip of riding up Hewitt Station is the only thing worth salvaging:

ouch. Here's the fender I was telling you about. It's not pretty. I believe the previous owner sanded it to paint it black but never did. I kept it around as a spare but everyone knows that I don't break any bike parts.

You're welcome to have it if it fits.

Fender

If he doesn't want it I will take it as I want to do the high fender swap on my bike. He could buy my 950 fender if he wants to go that direction and I will cut him a deal. Not sure if the 950 and 990 share the same fender?

I'm not sure on the fit as the part numbers are a digit off but that could just be the difference in model 950 vs 990...is yours orange?

Cool

I am not sure if the fender Dos has will fit but if it does then I will buy you lunch or help you pick up your bike on the trail...

I have thought far enough out to know what forks protectors i will use i just throw this all out there a little while ago...

My fender has a crack in one of the little support arms. if it will work for what you want then we can work out a fair price.. I don't expect it to be over $500

The tricky part is that his title is in Oregon and he won't be able to retrieve it until April. I don't know if there is a good work around for that in AZ. If any one here knows, or is interested in the bike send me a PM.
The price is $4500 and located in Florence.
OK, he found the title, he had it with him all along. The bike is going on the open market. If anyone is interested PM me. I'm going riding at 9:30 tomorrow.

If you play a heat gun over it it'll bring the shine back

I'm back in Washington now having a beer. One thing that I keep thinking about is one morning as I was about to leave for a ride, a neighbor asked if I was taking a gun with me. Soon after, I went to a gas station and another guy approached me and said I wouldn't be safe out there unless I had a gun. I'm a gun guy, I love to shoot and sometimes I carry but I never thought riding by myself to Cherry Creek would require protection. What's your take on this?

At first I thought maybe they meant against people. That seems a little over the top. We've been out there several times and had no problems. That wouldn't even cross my mind. I've even ridden from Young by myself on 54, then went back to Young. My brother-in-law used to have a house there.

I could see taking a gun for protection against animals, like big cats. That is cat country.

Maybe the people who asked about guns meant for hunting? We saw a few groups of hunters out there on last Thursday's ride, but they were bow hunters. It's deer and javelina bow hunting now.
