All,

Here is a general Idea of the Route

The staging area could be N33 54.281 W112 19.556

I say meeting at point "E" is a better option. If anyone is hauling their bike they can stage there. Lots of room.

I guess it is time to firm up the details for this Saturday. The last time we did the Lake Pleasant area we took the scenic route there from the east side and really didn't give us enough time.

I think we should plan on slabbing it this time if everyone is OK with that.

How does this sound? Meet at Coffee Rush at Baseline and Gilbert at 7:00 for everyone on the east side of town and leave by 7:30.

I know at least one person that is going to trailer there so we can stage off of Castle Hot Spring Road, ( I will post a pic of the staging area as well as the route soon) let's say around 8:15

Please chime in with any input or questions.

I have been wanting to do this ride for some time and can't thank Brad enough for scouting this out to make sure I am not getting in over my head.

See everyone Saturday.

Bill
It just killing me seeing you guys having fun while I'm stuck up north in 18" of snow. I've been following the thread ever since I left Mesa but I can see its time to unsubscribe as your ride reports are stressing me out. One question before I leave, do you guys ride in the summer when it's 110 degrees out? Just stick to higher elevations? See you all next year!

I ride all year in the heat. The sun is up at 5 in the morning, so I just start really early and make sure I am done by 11.

I want to make it out there, but I am camping off my bike the next weekend, so I might be pushing it with my wife's good graces. Put me down as a definite maybe.

I can't tell what the actual route is.
Is it big bike friendly?

Not sure when will be the next weekend I can ride. My wife's going in for surgery this Wednesday and recovery is several weeks.

That's a bummer. Hope the surgery goes well.

Thanks. I'm gonna go with the "Honey, it would be more peaceful here if I wasn't around' approach to see if that flies.

I'll probably be out a few more weeks from 2 black eyes after that.
