good for Ram products.
I am still waiting for my stuff but asked for it to be shipped altogether. Waiting for the screen protector that is on back order,

I can't leave town overnight this weekend, but I really want to get out and try my Tiger's new shoes in some light dirt. Thinking of headed to Globe, south on the BDR to Winkelman or Mammoth, then returning either north to Superior or west through Oracle and Florence.
Anyone want to come? Either Sunday, or Monday.

Labrador rescue group in town just contacted me and they need a foster home for a new dog. Gonna cancel my attempt at the Globe/Mammoth run. Sorry, CD.

Yes, I used the code you mentioned. 15% off, free shipping and no sales tax how do you beat that? Thanks

Had a blast today at Montana Mountain, the weather was just perfect, the trail is pretty easy with just a couple of challenging spots (e.g. when you decide to take the wash instead of the road) but all in all great fun..

My Motorcycle Crash

Thanks for all the kind wishes everyone. Here is the synopsis of what happened.

Somehow, someway, I walked away from this one. I was on Ray Road going west approaching Arizona Avenue when the road goes from two lanes to three with the third lane opening up on the right side. I usually take that lane because there usually isn't anyone in it because once you get through the light you have to merge back over as the third lane turns into a turn only lane. So the middle and left lane had started to slow and stop and someone must have waved a left hand turner through to turn into the Food City grocery store parking lot.

Quick recap, middle and left lane slowing and stopping. I'm in the empty right lane. Guy going the opposite way makes a left hand turn in front of me.

I had all of maybe a half second to react. I tried to swerve and get around the front of his bumper, but didn't have the space or time to make it happen. He hits me on my left side somewhere with the front of his car and and I go over the handle bars as he redirects me towards the bus in the previous picture I had posted. The bus had been waiting to pull out of the grocery store parking lot and was stationary. I hit off the front of the bus, luckily it had a flat front end, and continued to tumble down the road. I'm guessing I was in the air for a good 20+ feet as I had to make it over his car, hit the bus and land somewhere on the ground after the bus.

I had been wearing my usual one piece Teiz suit along with my Bell RS1 helmet. I wear deer skin gloves, but I didn't have any boots on, just my dress shoes so my ankles got some road rash.

It's a good thing I was wearing my gear. It really saved me from this being a lot worse. After laying on the ground momentarily, I slowly rolled onto my hands and knees and starting taking inventory. Everything seemed fine at the moment, but this isn't the first time I've been in a traumatic experience and I know that shock and adrenaline can deceive you. Turns out my ankles took a blow probably similar to someone taking a baseball bat to them along with a bunch of skin missing, my left forearm took a pretty good blow as it started to swell up pretty big right away and my whole right side was pretty sore and bruised from hitting the bus. Other than that, I was able to stand and walk around after taking it easy for a couple of minutes at the scene of the accident. My mom doesn’t live far from where I was so she was able to take me to the hospital to get checked out. After getting xrays of my entire spine, left arm, right shoulder and ankles, I had no broken bones.

As far as the bike goes, it’s totally trashed. Insurance company totaled it. I am still trying to get them to pay me for it. The guy was driving a rental car and Avis is the insurance company and they aren’t being very timely in checking the bike out and writing a check.

Still recovering from all the soft tissue injuries, but at least I can get around pretty normal. Not sure when I’ll get another bike, for now I have a little Honda Fit that gets me to and from work. Eventually I would like to get another bike, I just don’t think I want to commute on it on a regular basis anymore. We’ll see.

So glad you are doing well Mr. Goldfish! Thanks for posting! Here's Hoping Avis pulls their head out, gets on the ball and gets you your insurance money, so you can move on from one hell of an experience! Thanks also for the Teiz link, looks like good gear and sounds like it saved you from a World of hurt!

Glad you're doing okay Mr. Goldfish. Good luck with the insurance issues, I hope they work themselves out quickly.

Safe travels
