Guys:

I'm having a little bit of drama with getting what I need from Happy Trails (http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=988595) for a trip I'm taking, starting July 3rd.

Not trying to cross-post or sow drama or anything, just putting that there for reference so I don't have to explain twice.

Things are down to the wire despite my best efforts to acquire the right gear since May.

I may not have side racks for my Tiger when it's time to put the kickstand up and take off. I've got a tail rack and tail case, and I've got no pillion coming with me on this trip.

Does anyone have a large Giant Loop or similar rackless wrap-around bag that would fit a Tiger 800 they would be willing to lend or sell or rent? I'd be gone from July 3rd to the 13th. I won't know if I'll need the GL until Saturday, when I try to install everything. Or is there a vendor here in town that stocks GL or comparable rackless bags?

Here is a picture of a bag my wife sewed. Works great and cost about 30 bucks to make.

Fanatic... could I possibly borrow that one, or buy it off you and thus encourage your wife to come out with a 2.0 revision for your own uses?

A small land lobster. I believe those are a delicacy on the trail.

Hey Mike, Hard to see clear in the photo, But it looks to be a Silver Fish. Very common in new homes. Also called the new home pest. I say it's the only thing the builder gives you for free. Any good pest Co. should be able to get rid of them pretty quick.

Leaving town on Thursday, around 2PM.

I'm headed to Seattle, but if anyone is looking for a short little ride for the day or to camp out overnight in the high country, you're welcome to join me.

Here's my day 1 anticipated route:

http://goo.gl/maps/Ynh2k

Gonna hit the section of the AZBDR between Hwy 87 and I-40, camp overnight somewhere back there.

Hit Rim Road 300, that's some great scenery.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a cooling vest for AZ summers?

This looks alright, I have a bunch of credit with Revzilla so I don't mind the price tag, as long as it works:
http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/r...d-cooling-vest

or this

http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/evs-ctr-cooling-vest

or really whatever works for at least a couple of hours..

OK, thanks, I think that's the one I linked - The REVIT Liquid Cooling Vest helps by utilizing Hyperkewl technology..

You might want to look into the phase change vests. You can't recharge them on the go, unless you carry spares, but they work outstanding.

Free to good home

I made these up to try a couple different lowered peg positions on my DR650 and no longer have any use for them. Thought I'd offer them here before I toss them. The steel set is 3/16" material and the drop is just over 1" and the aluminum set is 1/4" material and the drop is 1 3/4". I'm in San Tan Valley.
