I could probably swing tomorrow. What time are you thinking? Tomorrow's work schedule should be pretty flexible...(like I have nothing to do) LOL.

This ride was awesome when the water was running.

I get home at around 6. Thinking maybe taking off at 7?

An Ap trail run down to Fish Creek only takes about an hour so I figure with stops and bs'ing we can be home before 10.

That's way better than the 1am arrival on our last night outing.

It's not a one day ride.

According to the route you have planned it would take 11 and a half hours to complete.

Tack on to that the fact that from Queen Creek it takes 3 hours to get there and we're talking an additional 6.

If you have this ride scheduled for kickstands up at 8, not taking into account a single stop, we'll be back at the trucks at 10pm.

Add gas stops and general BS'ing along the route and we're talking 12pm.

Then it's the truck ride back home.

That sounds like fun.

...or not.

No, those pics were takena few months ago. 3 of us played hooky and rode 4 peaks and came back through ap trail. It's not the first time I did this. I think everyone should do this when it's raining. It's fantastic.

Whatcha guys think?
Nighttime exploration ride. Hmmmm. What could possibly go wrong.

You could do it on a streetbike.

80% is paved. We'd just be going down to Fish Creek and back. The only concern would be crossing the creek after Tortilla Flat. It can sometimes be a bit deep when we get this much rain.

If it's too easy and we get bored we can always throw a bonus loop in there.

Looks good 'Dos. That is much better than my method of having Drew and Buddy ride on either side of me!

1-Google maps calculate driven time by car/truck. It's half of that on an enduro bike at decent pace, I am NOT talking racing speed.(I test that every time I go up there to recon or ride). 2- I did it more than 2 times, (not counting recon ride & the time you guys joined us), once with 2 spot and we had to bail out because of T-Storms, and few weeks back with Sledred, we did good time but we had to bailout 35 miles before the end because of a sour knee. We were at the truck ~3:30pm almost 168 miles done all off-rd with mixt terrains. 3- I understand it tough for east siders that's why I suggest to go the night before but still the way back home sucks.

Our last adventure in the rain was freezing. I titled it the hypothermia ride. I was super paranoid, because I had my 80/20 tires on my bike, so I was slipping around everywhere.

I have a new D606 on the rear and an MT21 up forward. I am expecting a lot better results.

My stock DR Lights will be pretty dim, but I am sure that Julio's UFO technology should light up the trail pretty good.

Here is another shot from our previous ride.

Night ride

I would be in for your night ride but it's a long way to come for a mostly paved road. I will have to pass this time...

Now when you get ready to go run the Coke Ovens at night or something cool like that down your way I am definately in.

And stop picking on Eddie... who doesn't like to drive 6 or 7 hours to ride for 3 on mostly flat two track
