Kid's day was a success. We had 5 kids out riding...and 2 adults acting like kids.

DurtKlod's minis-

Ian and Connor really got the hang of their bikes at the end of the day and were ripping around the little track. They were having so much fun that my buddy had to steal the 110 for a ride.

One Dad Filming, Two Dads on their Cell phones, One girl climbing, and one son puking...Could anything else be going on in this video.

We had a blast Aaron. The homemade pizzas were fantastic. My boys kept asking me all the way back home when could we come back again. I took a few pictures... not too many. I'll download them soon. We all hope Dan is feeling better soon.

I am glad we were able to get the kids together. Dan was so bummed that he felt sick. He has been looking forward to this Saturday all week.

We should plan a camping trip sometime at Roosevelt. There is a nice campground with tons of kid friendly trails...and a couple others better suited to the DR and KLR.

I did not get very many pics and none of them are very exciting...

I am taking Wednesday and Thursday off work this week. Does anyone want to ride up to Rose Canyon Lake campground Wednesday and camp overnight, then head back home Thursday morning to beat the heat?

I just put SM wheels on my DR, so I won't be hitting any dirt, but the twisty road up lemon looks really cool and camping at elevation should be really nice this time of year.

Post up or PM if anyone is interested.

Bill and all the others I ride with. You guys have been great at entertaining us snowbirds the past several years and we all appreciate that. If you ever want to get out of the heat and experience some great North West riding during the summer I'll set you up for the the time of your life. Hardcore or relaxed, I have it covered. See you around Christmas again!

Sounds Great

Ron,

It is great to here from you and love the pics

If I had any vacation time I would take you up on you generous offer but I think I am stuck in the heat for the summer

When you come back to town lets put a plan together a plan for next year as I have always wanted to see the North West.

I wanted to do a ride for this weekend but it looks like I am stuck doing work at home but definitely want to ride Sat the 28 if anyone is available. Anywhere up North is good with me.

Maybe Wade can help us with a plan if you are free.

Take care
Bill

I rode up to Mount Lemmon last night and camped at Rose Canyon Lake. I had my SM wheels on my bike, but after doing the ride I would really like to take the dirt down the backside of Lemmon.

Here is a picture from Catalina State Park.

My bike only averaged 45 mpg. I think going 75 the majority of the ride and the wide hips really cut down on my gas mileage. Catalina Hwy was a beautiful road. 32 miles of smooth twisties.

Nice! It's been 20 years since I've been up Mt. Lemon... before the fire.

Mt Lemmon Ride July 25/26

I am riding with some friends to camp at Mt Lemmon again in the end of July.

My buddies ride Harleys, so the plan is to slab it down from Mesa to the top of Mt Lemmon and camp at Rose Canyon Lake. If I can get an ADV Rider to come on the ride, I am interested in taking the dirt down the East Side of the mountain and then come up dirt back to Florence via San Pedro River Road, Barkerville Road, and the Florence Kelvin Highway.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

The plan will be to leave early Friday morning from Mesa and then head back early Saturday morning to beat the heat.
