We got beat down pretty good by every off-shoot trail we tried. It didn't help at all that we couldn't see anything in front of us.

When I got home I was exhausted. We didn't even put that many miles on. Maybe it was because I'd already commuted 70 miles? Maybe because I didn't even have dinner?

good times.

I took some friends from Butcher Jones to Sycamore this morning. It got pretty hot out there.

The rains have really filled in the washes. Lots of sand today.

New to the East valley.

Hi guys,

I just pulled into San Tan Valley today (from Chicago area), we have a 3-4 month rental here while we look for a house to buy. I have a small utility trailer I need to find a place to store until we find a place. Anyone know of a cheap place to store it?

My bikes don't get here till Monday, can't wait to ride with you guys.

Jeff,

Nice offer

I am heading up to Prescott to visit family this weekend but have a plan for a ride the following Saturday 8/30.

So for anyone with no plans for the long weekend and wanting to ride please join me.

The plan is 4-Peaks to Aztec Peak then the upper Cherry Creek rd to Young. Of course a stop at Antlers is a must. Then up thru Haggler Creek to Payson and back Home.

I will post a route later but wanted to post this up.

Take Care
Bill

Saturday night

Any of you east siders want to ride up the front way to Crown. King on Saturday night and meet at the Mill for dinner. Great chance to ride in the cool night air and meet up with others riders.

I am 50/50. I will go if someone wants to ride up to the mill for dinner, but I am not too hip on going by myself.

Bill?

Bill-

Stan and I are planning on riding out to Cherry Creek road Friday after work and camping out. Then we are going to do the Cherry Creek loop to Young and back down the 288. We will then decide if we go up Apache trail or 4 peaks road. You should come camp with us, or meet us Saturday morning.

I'd be interested in camping too. Not sure if I can but I'd be interested. :)

If any other east sider is doing the back way to CK on Saturday night maybe we can truck out there together. Let me know.

Wish I could go...but thats labor day weekend. Maybe next time. I've been wanting to do an overnighter up to The sierra ancha, camp out, and explore the ruins up there. Long weekend would be a good time to do it...hint hint :)

I have wanted to do that hike, but this is not the trip for it. I have attempted Cherry Creek twice, but both times we ran out of sunlight.

We are planning on camping somewhere near the junction of the 288 and Cherry Creek, probably right at the river.

Julio made up a couple cool options for the ride.

Friday leave sometime afternoon and then camp at Cherry Creek. Then Saturday we pick between these two routes:

Option 1:

Option 2
